“HIDDEN” Stina Lundberg Fall Winter 1011 Collection

Talking trends and inspiration for new ideas, I thought I could share with you my new collection, womenswear fall/winter -11.

My inspiration and theme is “hidden”, a collection built on the human needs of sometimes just hiding… “Trapped or just hiding?”…was kind of the ideas around this collection… Maybe in order to be comfortable one must be able to hide sometimes, or at least be able to adapt the garments to choose what to show and what to hide…

As result to this, you’ll see several examples of high collars (to cover up), even a loose one to wear as an accessory, on top of another garment. There are two kinds of “undie” dresses that can be combined with all of the tops of the collection. I call them “undies” because they’re not really meant to be worn all alone, but underneath as a basic layer, in order to feel comfortable to wear for example a really deep cut top, that falls over the shoulders. And when you wear them you feel as if you were wearing a “body pantyhose” that holds in and gives support.

Fashion is buttoned all the way up!

Skirts and dresses, blouses and shirts are getting buttoned up! There’s a big focus on having lots of small, often fabric covered, buttons. This will be seen on both front and back parts of garments. One thing that’s once again is a big hit is the classic pencil skirt, but buttoned all the way up and/or all the way down! This means small tiny buttons, put closely together, and all of these buttons will of course make the garment adaptable if you feel like showing a bit of your legs or not (buttoning up or down…)

I don’t know if you’ve noticed the super large belts (almost like a corset but with no support for the bust, only for the waist) The belts are often put on top of blouses, dresses and tunique-like garments, in order to put focus on the waist. Some of these “corset-belts” have buckles in metal, or laces, but I recently saw one with these small types of buttons instead.

And what I’m trying to say is that the style of the belt is soon being transferred to the skirts, especially the pencils skirts! I try not to forget to look on the back of clothes, sometimes the back is far more beautiful than the front, thanks to these kinds of details. It’s very elegant to have a longer dress, or skirt (in a tailored style) with small small buttons going vertically all the way up to the neck!

Back to the pencil skirt, buttons or not, imagine it with a thin, sheer, “fluffy” blouse hanging out a bit but tucked inside of the skirt. Big generous sleeves, and maybe an oversized collar, worn with this little skirt, so tight and minimalistic.

Staying Calm During Times That Are Stressful

How can we achieve well being and stay balanced during times of stress? Is there a way of remaining calm and not falling victim to the world around us? Can we escape depression, fear and other negative feelings that so easily befall so many today? As our world around us becomes increasingly unstable how can we remain calm? Can we allow ourselves to not become a victim of the circumstances we find ourselves in and remain calm through these times? Is there some type of steps we can take to help us practice staying calm?

There may become a time when things get so out of control that the best thing you can do for yourself and others is to remain calm. Fear and depression may take hold of many around you, but do not let it take hold of you. Merely knowing that those emotions will hinder you, and could cause you to make bad decisions should get you a reason to focus and remain calm. Learning to remain calm during times that are not extremely bad will also help you when and if times ever do.

Is Human Behavior Affected by Pheromones?

There is a lot of research currently being conducted concerning pheromones and the role they play in human behavior. It has long been established that many insects, birds and animals are equipped with pheromones to excite or alter a specific behavior due to the scent emitted by the chemicals. For example, ants have been shown to use a natural chemical to mark the path between a food source and their nest for them and others to follow when returning with food.

Skin Mole Removal Information

To have the skin mole removal you can select several different procedures. Usually the surgeon inspects the mole and offers suggestions about the best method to use. Frequently the surgeon requests that you have a skin specialist check the mole first to make sure it’s not cancerous. Most moles aren’t but it’s always a good precaution.

The 1st method of skin mole removal is to surgically cut the mole from the skin.  The surgeon will cut around the border so that the mole will not be able to grow back.  If the mole is a deep cut then the stitches will be on the inside of the skin.  If the mole is smaller then they will most often be on the outside of the skin.

What are the differences between adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator?

What are the differences between adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator? Produced by the same company, there are some that say the difference between the two programs is small. In actuality, adobe illustrator takes some key elements of adobe photoshop to the next level and beyond.

Adobe photoshop is a very popular program used by digital photographers around the world. The abundance of photoshop tips and tutorials make this a very easy program to learn and to use. Photoshop can be used to take any existing image and give it a professional, polished looked. Borders can be added and pictures tweaked to look better than any digital camera could make possible. Almost anything you can imagine doing to a picture is capable when using adobe photoshop.

Colour Therapy in Fashion

I noticed that more and more people are playing with colours…Blending, mixing and experimenting with all sorts of colours. Strong flashy 1980’s colours were coming strong for fall this year, but the difference now is the actual mixing detail. Not only the huge trend of flower, but all sorts of abstract patterns and shapes are blending together in an “aquarelle” kind of style, showing harmony and brightness.
