Pure cuts and shapes are the key to many of the clothes to be seen this spring/summer. For those of you who think that there has been too much of details, glittery stones etc lately.. Here, you can enjoy simple, pure and ample shapes, with very little details, or maybe I should say, the shape is THE detail, and there’s no need for more than that.
There are still asymmetric shapes and cuts to be seen, especially on sleeves, necklines and on the hem, which gives a nice “break” to the otherwise so plain allover shape. There are more and more dresses with a slit, which also can be seen on sleeves, or like a vertical gap in the back etc.. (And coming up full-length tight dresses with a slit, totally reminding us of the 90′s, but more of that later on)
We still get to see many examples of wearing only one sleeve, which can be combined with a more deep cut neckline, showing more skin, or as you can see on this photo, completely “cut of”, as if they forgot to put the second sleeve on… The length in general for dresses within this “theme” is either just above knees, or full length. Volume is ample, comfortable and functional.
As for the long dress, there’s a small draped and asymmetrical style on the top, which makes me curious of the back of this garment, I would imagine the back being more or less open.
