When I was a little girl, I dreamed about having the most princess-like clothes, I had a period of gold, (everything had to be gold) that later on turned into purple!

And I remember when I was maybe 9 years old or so, when the flounced skirts came…

Dresses and skirts had layers of wrinkled fabric flowing around your legs, and at that time normally in big flowers of the early 90’s, and even better in pastel colors!

To modernise this a bit, this “wrinkling” of fabric is back. On dresses, skirts, blouses, tops. I’ve even seen it on underwear quite a lot.

It can definitely be interesting, and not only flowerily and “frou frou”, and super girly.

The flounces give a good dimension and depth into the garment. It is like a variant of the pleats or the draped clothes. It simply gives life to the fabric, and creates different shapes when you move.

The fringes are back,  dancing over their dresses. This automatically makes me think of old late 1920’s movies where you constantly hear a cheerful jazz music, and where people were shaking their fringes on the dance floor. As an interpretation of this lively decade, we can see fringes more and more.

Gardening has long been an enjoyable, not to mention rewarding, hobby. Many wonderful heirloom plants have been around for centuries, and they should not be overlooked when planning your garden.

While the Victorians who created these heirloom species filled huge gardens with wonderful exotic plants, many of todays gardeners are working with a more limited space. Luckily, there are many varieties of heirloom plants, and many can fit on just a window sill. You can grow heirloom plants no matter the size of your garden.

If you want to try your hand at growing an heirloom species, consider the Boston fern. It is an evergreen plant that can be grown in a window garden. Youll need a window that receives some light, but no direct sunlight. Then youll need a sturdy plant hook, a hanging pot for your fern, and some potting soil. Just transfer your Boston fern to the hanging pot, and fill in the remaining space with potting soil. Firm the soil around your new plant, and water it. Then install the plant hook, and hang your new plant. To care for your Boston fern, water it when the soil is dry, and rotate it occasionally so that it grows evenly.

The modeling world is rapidly changing!  The days of individuals being turned away from a career in modeling due to shape and figure are gone.  Believe it or not, plus size and full figure models are in great demand and there are plenty of opportunities to break into the modeling industry if you are plus sized.  The big question is, how do you become one?

The very first thing that you must understand is that the modeling industry is not an easy industry to be involved with.  Yes, it can be glamorous, but it is also very demanding and can be down right brutal.  This industry is also very competitive, but that doesn’t mean that you should not even try.  You just need to go into things with your eyes wide open and constantly looking for opportunities.

Just as in regular modeling, full figure and plus size models are going to have to meet some basic requirements and measurements in order to be considered for the gig.  Most of the time, you are going to have to be at least 5′8″ or taller.  You are also going to have to wear a size 10 or larger.  There is some wiggle room in these requirements, but not very much.
