Spring and Summer Fashion 2009 Sparkle!
Since I wrote to you about mens’wear for 2009, here is a little something for women;
For all occasions it will sparkle!
We’ll see in every type of fashion (street, ready-to-wear, haute couture and so on…)
lots of sparkles!
The fabrics are metallic, shiny, gold or silver. Thin or thick, stiff organza or smooth voile de coton. Prints may still be in black but with a subtle tone of gold in the background or simple be flashy with only metallic shapes or drawings.
Shinyness in layered fabrics is also to be seen, where you can play with different thickness of materials, and build structure and shapes.
As you can see from the catwalks for spring summer 2009, the shapebuilding around the hips, as wrote about earlier, is still strong!
This shiny fashion might be a luxurious touch, but will still be comfortable!
Big nice volumes that adapts after your shapes, that even promotes them, makes this sparkeling fashion be suitable for you, whenever you feel like it, whether it’s on an evening dress or on a pair of soft low-waist ”Derek Lam” inspired pants..

Wow Steena, these look incredible. These shiny materials will certainly lift the spirits of anybody trying to deal with the credit crunch. Even if you cannot afford to buy and wear them, it will be a lift to see other people wearing them.

Spring traditionally evokes a sense of freshness and new beginnings, with sprouting shoots and blossoming flowers that inspire designers to breakout of the winter money crisis. Bright and sparkling colours return to the top 10 list for spring ’09. This is great!
