Great Cosy fashion by Stina Lundberg!
In displaywindows now you can see clothes inspired of dancing. That is, clothes in fluid material, soft, smooth fabrics, with sometimes a sporty touch, otherwise more classic and feminine…
They do of course inspire us to move, to swing, to dance! They are ergonomic, comfortable and you can move in what ever way you want to…Here are some details I’ve noticed recently…
· For example, have you noticed the “buffy”, round sleeves, that make sort of a balloon around your wrists? As well as sometimes on trousers, around you ankles..
· Drawstrings in your waists, mixed with material such as cotton jersey, or ribbed cotton.
· Viscose and blends of silk, in sheer materials of tops and blouses, with a bit of wrinkles, that also make the shape more round and that promotes movements.
This round generosity can also be places over your hips, to firmly marked the waist, looking slim in contrast to the volume on the hips.
· Belts in the same fabric as the dress or top, to tye to mark the waist.
· And there are also many leg or skirt finishing with a ribbed material as a hem, which also gives a sporty touch.
· Lots and lots of small buttons, decoratively put on the shoulders or in the waist.
· And last but not least, the short short tops, that goes just above the waist. Another way of marking the waist!
I think that for this season there are many different ways and ideas of dressing comfortably which is not bad at all….

Clothes make you want to dance, especially if they are baggy and loose…

If I am not wrong, this is the style that has taken the world by storm in the late eighties and early nineties. Back then, it was very popular to wear baggy pants.

Stina Lundberg! Brilliant!
You describe these as clothes inspired of dancing, what a brilliant description, so right, they really do enthuse us to move to and fro and dance dance dance!
I love the rounded sleeves and ankles and the blends of silk and the small buttons, I think I will be off shopping very soon!

One of the things about fashion is that designers are always looking back for inspiration. So new clothes always tend to have some elements of previous generations. Daisy Duke shorts were extremely popular in the late 70′s and again in the 90′s. During most of the 80′s it was hard to spot a pair of Daisy Dukes on any college campus.

As far as fashion, I go with comfort. What is trendy is not really a big priority for me. My wife on the other hand has a real eye for fashion. She really loves the fashion trend with decorative buttons.

Fashion is definitely not for me, while I enjoy looking at people who are dressed fashionably, the outfits are far too uncomfortable and costly for my preferred lifestyle. It is really interesting to watch, thanks for the info.

Although I have never really been a dancer myself, I must admit that I really enjoy watching it. In many ways I suppose it is the quintessential human art form. No wonder clothing designers are inspired as well.

These are just the kind of fashionable styles my wife loves to wear …and she knows just how to fill her clothes, whatever she chooses to wear!
I know she would adore all those buttons around the waist and the way that the rounded sleeves make a balloon around your wrists, just as you describe.
I have bookmarked this page for Julie and will make sure she gets a look at this great by Stina Lundberg!

Just came indoors from shoveling quite a bit of snow myself – an activity where you definitely want clothes that are warm but not too warm. You also want to be able to move in them and the pants from keeping snow out of your shoes.
Oh, and if it’s fashionable while you’re at it I guess that is a plus as well

Stina Lundberg is a great fashion designer. I like the idea that you had for wearing belts in the same fabric as the dress or top, to tye to mark the waist. Great fashion advice, thanks.

Good point of view about today fashion and especially the “dancing” fashion. But as I see this comes from the old 70′s and 90′s. It looks like everything is round and the fashion is repeating in some decades changed a little. I love these dresses because are comfortable and at the other hand, attractive.

I have never heard of Stina Lundberg but from what I found in Internet, she is very good fashion designer. I like the ideas of this so called “dancing” fashion because when you make fun, you need to feel comfortable.
